Miratorg has given an online tour of an enterprise in Kaliningrad, Russia, where the beefsteaks for McDonald’s fast food chain are produced out of 100% beef. The guests have visited the molding area of future beefsteaks and have seen the freezing process as well as how they are packed for transportation. The presenters of online tour among whom there were head of production and chief process engineer described the main principles of Miratorg company in their job in details.

Miratorg has been cooperating with the world famous brand of McDonald’s for over 10 years. The agro-industrial holding produces not only beefsteaks for McDonald’s restaurants, but also nuggets, constantly improving the processes at its enterprises. Today all beefsteaks from Miratorg are produced for McDonald’s with addition of Black Angus marbled beef.

”We use only 100% natural meat in the minced meat production. There no spices or any other additives in our beefsteaks. Salt and spices are added directly during the cooking only in McDonald’s restaurants. Chilled raw materials are transported from our enterprise in Bryansk to our facility in Kaliningrad”, Denis Smirnov said, production director at Miratorg enterprise in Kaliningrad.

All the production at Miratorg enterprise in Kaliningrad is fully automated, including beefsteak production lines. The employees only watch the equipment which mixes the minced meat independently, molds it and packs the products for their further transportation.

The products from each batch are thoroughly tested right during the production in a special laboratory on the equipment which is the same as that installed in McDonald’s restaurants.

”In our laboratory we monitor the quality of products from the raw materials to the finished beefsteak in accordance with the highest standards and requirements from our partners. Miratorg enterprise in Kaliningrad is audited several times a year including without prior notification from McDonald’s in order to confirm the compliance with the high standards of McDonald’s”, Yuliya Sviridenko said, chief process engineer of Miratorg enterprise in Kaliningrad.
